Agility Band Training with Mark McGrath

Agility Band Shoulder Harness. In Place Running Skip.

Video synopsis: The 2m green Agility Band Shoulder Harness is one of the most effective ways to train Global Body Locomotion.
We have the Horizontal and Vertical Frames of Reference present through ground forces and the fact that the Harness gives you vertical from the level of the shoulders. This in place skip is highly effective for training Coordination, Foot contact, cadence and vertical posture. Really enjoy this movement!

Agility Bands shoulder harness. Backward running Forward loaded walking lunge.

Video synopsis: Backwards loaded training is incredibly valuable because of its neurological reverse origin benefits. We have to pulse back strongly using plantar flexion, knee extension, and glutes work concentrically at the end of support phase step. For this reason, I highlight this movement as important when someone is established in their rehab for ACL injury. It is encouraging terminal extension at the tibia-femoral articulation. The loaded walking lunge forward while decelerating is excellent also.
Very worthwhile exercise using shoulder harness.

Agility Band shoulder harness. Falling lunge.

Video synopsis: The Falling Lunge was developed by Professor Janda to train the Reflexive and Proprioceptive systems. For the lunge to be effective, it needs to be trained with ideal posture. The Agility Bands give great feedback to achieve this ideal! I describe how the role of reflexes is to be present to be fast acting via contraction speed to protect the joint.
