Iron Edge's Wall Balls are a type of medicine ball that, rather than being hard and compact, are large and soft.

Wall Balls are ideal for many medicine ball drills with the added bonus of being soft, which means they won't hurt you or other surfaces as much when they hit and they bounce well.

They are also ideal for power development because they start at a light 8lb.  Power requires speed and you can only develop good speed by beginning with very light loads.

Iron Edge has the 8lb as well as 12lb, 14lb and 20lb Wall Balls in the range, allowing you to progress through weights or use the heavier balls for slower, grinding movements if you want to develop strength rather than power.

Another advantage of the Wall Ball is that it can be used as a safe squat depth cue.  The advantage over a bench or step is because if you overshoot with the ball you won't end up with a bruised coccyx or lower back injury!

Of course Iron Edge's Wall Balls are ideal for CrossFit training - perfectly suited to wall balls as the name suggests - and come in the standard CrossFit sizes.

The first round of Wall Balls that Iron Edge produced unfortunately weren't that crash hot.  We learnt from our mistakes, though, and put a good 9 months into figuring out how to build a ball held together with stitching that would withstand a great deal of punishment.  The result is a new breed of Wall Balls that are designed to outlast any other similar products on the market - with heavily reinforced stitching and a thick, rip resistant outer covering.
