The humble sandbag is up there with the most awkward objects to lift; it's unpredictable and unweildy with built-in instability and that's what makes it both a challenging and highly effective strength training tool.

In everyday life and many sports you have to deal with awkward objects. Sandbag training helps develop power, strength and endurance with a constantly shifting weight, which translates well to any activity where you're dealing with unstable loads, such as moving house or grappling.  The sandbag is particularly good for supplementing any training for contact sports because the more you move the more it fights back, very much the way an opponent reacts in MMA for example.

All of Iron Edge's Power Bags are made from the same material that covers the Kevlar in a flak jacket, Cordura Nylon, and are sealed with double stitching so they can take a serious beating.

All Power Bags come with inner bags that hold the sand, also made of Cordura Nylon and sealed with double velcro to prevent any leaking.  The inner bags make it a quick and easy process to alter the weight of the Power Bag, each able to hold a bit more than 10kg.  The Power Bags are designed to be loaded up so the inner bags don't occupy the full space even at maximum capacity, that ensures you will always have a good amount of instability in the bag.

For the most awkward and uncooperative of sandbags there is the original no handles Power Bag - without handles you're forced to really fight for every rep.  The no handles Power Bag comes with 3 inner bags (that will get you up to about 40kg maximum) but can be loaded up to 70kg.

If you want the option of handles to add a bit of variety and perform barbell-like lifts such as cleans or snatches with the instability of a sandbag, Iron Edge has a small Power Bag with handles that can hold up to 30kg and a large one that will take up to 60kg.
