Resistance Bands are perhaps the most versatile fitness product available, so it is no surprise that they are one of the products we receive the most questions about. Given their versatility, we have introduced several different options to make them more ideal for certain activities.

All of the bands work the same way – the resistance (or assistance) increases the further the band is stretched - but different sizes and materials can make the bands better suited to specific activities.

41” Power Bands

The original and staple version. These are made of latex and most commonly used to resist / assist traditional weightlifting exercises such as squats and bench presses, as well as bodyweight exercises like chin ups.

The 41” Power Bands can be used on their own as a DIY cable machine for movements like Pallof presses, tricep extensions and rows if an anchor point is available. Even without a separate anchor point or column, the 41” Power Bands can be used in a bootcamp-type set up for exercises like squats, deadlifts and overhead presses.

41” Fabric Power Bands

Fabric feels better on the skin compared to latex. After the tremendous response to our Micro Band Pro’s (covered later) we are introducing Fabric 41” Power Bands.

These are designed with rehab / activation exercises in mind, as opposed to combining with weightlifting exercises like bench presses (the bar doesn’t care how the band feels).

12” Power Bands

The 12” Power Bands are suited for deadlifting, whether used on their own or combined with a barbell.

Lighter resistances can also be used for glute activation drills such as crab walks. Keep in mind these get heavy fast though.

Agility Bands

Agility Bands are 2m long and designed to horizontally load a sprint, making it more specific to training. Loading a sprint otherwise is tricky, weights would load the body vertically rather than horizontally and you can’t take a hill with you to scale the intensity.

The Agility Band can be used outdoors with a training partner / coach, or indoors in any commercial gym with an anchor.

Micro Bands

A smaller version of our Power Bands that are intended for use in a rehab / prehab setting. Micro Bands are used commonly for glute activation, earning the nickname “booty bands” in some circles.

Micro Band Pro’s

We’re always looking for ways to make our products better. A recurring question asked about the Micro Bands was is there a way to make them more comfortable on the skin, particularly from guys with hairy legs.

The Micro Band Pro’s are made of fabric as opposed to pure latex. They will not crinkle, are more durable than previous latex versions and best of all for guys with hairy legs are much easier on skin and hair.

Flat Band Rolls

If as a physiotherapist, strength coach etc you find yourself frequently giving away Micro Bands, the Flat Band Rolls are a more efficient way to supply your clients.

The Flat Band Rolls are indexed and come in easy feed boxes allowing for the length to be accurately standardised and dispensed. Simply cut the required length of strip and tie a knot to form a loop.

Accessories

The Band / Rope Anchor mentioned above can be bolted to any flat surface and used as an anchor for Agility Bands or 41” Power Bands.

The Utility Strap can act as a portable anchor point that will help preserve the lifespan of your bands, bearing the brunt of the friction caused when rubbing against a fixed surface. It can also allow for longer band lengths to be used, as the Power Band loops through the strap and does not have to be doubled over.

Bands handles can allow for a more weight-specific training effect when using bands for resistance alone.

Storage options include Draw String Bags, our Band / Rope Wall Mount and a Modular Rack Basket.
